The blend is comprised wholly of Uji matcha—ensuring the use of only first-harvest leaves and the most traditional production and preparation methods to preserve its purity. The city of Uji is renowned for tea production of all sorts but is most recognized as being the birthplace of the tea ceremony and home to the highest quality matcha.

I have heard a lot about rocky's matcha so I was eager to try the brand to see if it is worth the hype. I'm a matcha purist; I only drink matcha hot and whisked with water as an americano, so I've often been disappointed when matcha varieties described as "sweet" or "nutty" end up lacking depth of flavor when prepared simply. However, I was intrigued by Dreamin' Man Ceremonial Blend because the website's description sounded like it was exactly what I look for. Upon my first tasting, this matcha was very silky and pleasant to the taste. The dry powder had a vegetal and savory aroma, and when whisked it foamed up beautifully. The matcha has a medium body and lingering taste that coats the tongue after each sip. It is smooth with practically no astringency. I wouldn't say that it's particularly sweet or nutty, but it does have great flavor and umami. I have been preparing it with 4 grams of matcha and 40 ml of water, and I find this ratio allows the flavors to shine. I would definitely suggest this matcha and look forward to purchasing again!

I have tried several of Rocky‘s Matcha before, but I believe that this is the best one. That flavor profile is so different in comparison to the different Matcha brands that I’ve tried. It’s extremely creamy, smooth and sweet on its own. I was so fortunate enough to get this when it first dropped and I went to go buy another tin and found out that it was sold out. I need a bigger tin of this, please and thank you.

Okay, this was my first Rocky’s Matcha purchase…and I was NOT disappointed! I originally picked it up because everything else was sold out and this one had just dropped, but wow. The color is so vibrant, and it’s incredibly smooth, creamy and dreamy. I’ve been loving it in my coconut water matchas lately. Might need to chill before I finish the whole tin in a week 😅💚 Ready for a restock!
