It combines two of the most prolific and prevalent cultivars in contemporary tea—the Okumudori and Samidori. Similar to both of the cultivars it stems from, Shiranami offers a balanced taste profile between its pronounced, vegetal freshness and more umami undertones. The powder is green with a slight tint of yellow. It smells very good, smells similar to sayaka, but this powder has a sweet floral smell to it, smells very good. But once i tried it in a latte, the first sip taste unpleasent, after the first sip your mouth dries up, then you taste a very small hint of umami. I tried to save it with sweetener but nope, i did see similar reviews like this but thought everyone has different taste buds, i should’ve listened, i wont be repurchasing.
