Our ceremonial grade blend comes from Yame, Japan where the matcha is known to taste differently than traditional matcha from Uji, Japan.

Our ceremonial grade blend is rich and savory and boasts a beautiful green color. We recommend our ceremonial grade blend for everyday matcha drinkers and it's our favorite matcha to use for matcha lattes.

This is a lovely matcha but I personally think it tastes more vegetal than nutty, I don’t feel like there are many other discernible notes. Probably my own taste palate though as I know I have a preference for single cultivars like Okumidori which is super nutty! The powder itself though is a beautiful vibrant green colour, it sifts easily and whisks wonderfully with a perfectly bouncy micro foam. Love the packaging also, will definitely keep the tin to reuse. I feel like this is a bit of a splurge for only 20g (and international shipping) which doesn’t last long so I wouldn’t buy this particular one again but I am hoping to try one of the other’s when they are back in stock :)

Finally!!! 💕
I’m so glad I finally got my hands on Rock’s ceremonial Matcha blend! It was everything I had hoped it would be. So creamy, so smooth, a bit nutty and just all-around delicious! I will continue to try to get my hands on the 100gram tin, because I must have more!
