rocky's matcha Single Cultivar Uji Hikari Matcha 20g

As an usucha, this was very creamy with slight bitterness, strong astringency and umami, and very marine like. As a latte, this matcha has zero sweetness but is creamy, astringent, and has a pleasant nuttiness the more you drink it. As I prefer sweeter matchas, I initially didnt like this one. But once I played around with the ratios and upped the sweetness, it became one of my favorites! Due to the price, I’d really have to talk myself into getting this one again, but I really enjoyed it!

I've had a 2020 version of this and enjoyed it. This year had a stronger marine taste than expected, but I found its characteristics, mouthfeel, flavor, aftertaste to be the best of the Tsujisan matchas. The Asahi was excellent, but this year's version of the Uji Hikari was something special.
