rocky’s matcha Single Cultivar Horii Shichimeien Narino Matcha is a ceremonial grade matcha grown in Uji, Japan, and is a unique cultivar characterized by its rich fragrance and mellow flavor. It contains twice as much theanine as conventional matcha cultivars, adding a subtle umami with practically no bitterness. Its unique makeup results in a similar complexity—offering sweet, floral notes and a contrasting aftertaste that feels clean, mild, and refreshing. It has been recognized with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries’ Award at the National Tea Competition (2010) and the Grand Prix at the Japanese Tea Selection Paris (2010).
